Our Accounting team is growing! This position is responsible for managing the Accounts Receivable function and building and managing the Accounts Receivable team. This includes managing payment application processes, implementing systems and process improvements, and implementing and managing a collection team and related processes.

What you'll do...

  • Manages assigned functional areas in the accounting department, specifically around the accounts receivable and collections functions.
  • Develops and manages agent customer experience as it relates to accounting records and accounting operations.
  • Develops and manages team key performance indicators and related reporting to senior leadership at least monthly.
  • Motivates, manages, and monitors staff to complete related operational tasks accurately and efficiently.
  • Supports general accounting functions.
  • Manages internal and external account reconciliations.
  • Prepares standard journal entries and manages the sub-ledger as needed.
  • Coordinates and manages month-end closings. Meets month end closing requirements.
  • Prepares accurate and timely management reports.
  • Establishes staff training and cross training programs. Identifies potential problems and recommends corrective action. Supports policies and procedures. Recommends changes when appropriate to achieve a high-performance level for the department.
  • Manages certain client relationships.
  • Supervises application of payments received. Ensures accuracy and timeliness.
  • Completes year end close and annual financial audit schedules as assigned.
  • Performs payment application as needed.
  • Assists with annual audits and audit schedules.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Who you are...

BS in Accounting preferred

5-7 years of experience building and managing a team

5+ years of experience with NetSuite experience strongly preferred, or a large accounting platform

Experience refining business process around operational accounting functions

Strong organizational skills

Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy

Analytical and problem-solving skills

Quality decision making skills

Effective verbal and listening communication skills
